I wanted to try these out in a good winter storm before I wrote anything. It got to -14 here in Denver with a -32 windchill with a few inches of snow and a good layer of ice. These kept my feet very warm and dry. I got a half size bigger to give a little room for thick socks or hand warmers and it was perfect. And even with normal socks I did not feel they were too big. They are super easy to slip on and off as well. They fit snug and keep snow from coming in the top. They are stylish and very comfortable. I get compliments on them all the time. They have withstood the weather very well and I am super impressed. The grip on ice is pretty good but nothing stellar. My only complaint, when I wore them on the first day of the storm I slid all over the place on the ice. It was easily remedied by scuffing up the bottoms a bit on the sidewalk and now it's really no problem. I highly recommend these!

Love this boot. Comfortable, uber warm (Chicago), winter weather resistant, comfortable low profile oh, and did I mention fuzzy-slipper comfortable? If you order 1/2 size larger than your regular boot size, then you can wear those super thick socks and have toasty toes as you trudge through the snow to the L, shovel snow off your driveway for 20min, or walk the slushy 1/2 mile to the ice creme shop where 3 people ask where I got my super cute boots...just sayin'. Oh yes, I normally wear Sorels and will now be buying Columbias if any of their other boots are as great as these.

These boots are like having a superpower. I wore them on a trip to France earlier this month, and walked 10-15 miles in them every day, sometimes on cobblestone streets. It was rainy and cold the whole time we were there. My feet stayed dry, warm, and comfortable the entire time! And the arch support is amazing--I had no foot or back pain, even after all the walking I did. Last winter I wore them in the snow, and they performed like a champ. The soles give you good traction. They still look brand new after wearing them all last winter. A great pair of boots that I'm sure I will have for a long time!

I love these boots!! I'm a size 10-10.5, I got a 10.5 and it fit great with wiggle room for my toes (or thick socks). I have wide calves and since these are lace up they were a perfect fit and they were not bulky. They look so cute over skinny jeans! my foot slipped right in and I was so happy that the interior is lined with a soft flannel material. these are ridiculously comfortable and warm. bring on the snow! I am very happy with these and pleased I didn't have to return them!!

Wow, I got these yesterday and put them on to make sure they fit, and I didn't take them off! They are so comfortable and warm. They look cute and aren't big and clunky, like most good snow boots. Plenty of room for thick socks and the laces are great for custom fitting the boot. Haven't tried yet but it looks like I will be able to drive with them on which is really important to me. Can't wait to give them a real test, it just needs to snow again!

I'm really pleased with these boots. I wear an 8 in open toe shoes but a 9 in boots so that my orthaheel/vionic arch support inserts. I still have room for a sock (not super thick). I need more room in the tie box for bunions. Hopefully, this information will help others who struggle with those issues.

These boots have been my favorite boots of all time until now. I bought a pair of these two years ago (size 8, normally 8.5 in sneakers) and they were warm and waterproof and stylish as well. The toe box was roomy, bordering on wide, and suuuper comfy for walking and snow playing all day. I got another pair this year (size 9) and they are super fluffy and tight inside. Lots of people have complained about them being too wide, so I guess they made changes. The main reason I need to replace the Columbias after only 2 winters is that the treads wear unevenly and one of them has revealed a hole on the bottom of the heel (probably there on purpose to keep the boot lightweight, I'm guessing? Or maybe just a defect, the hole itself was definitely not made from wearing them) that siphons water right up into the footbed so I have a soggy foot when there's any water on the ground. It's a real shame. If you want really fluffy and snug-all-over kind of boots they will probably work for you, and I'd recommend getting a size up if you wear thick socks. The Kamik Icelyn L looks similar and fits much more like the old style so I'll be switching to those this time.

The fit was great, they were very comfortable and stylish. I had many compliments about them. I am disabled and recently wore them when I was skiing in Crested Butte, Colorado, I was seated with my legs out in front of me, a staff member was behind and told me which way to turn etc. However, I controlled it with my thighs and arms. Normally, my feet would have been cold but thanks to the boots they were nice and warm.

Nice boot, but... I needed a WIDE size which is not offered, so my review is biased by that fact. This boot was almost comfortable for me... it has a roomy toe box and I could easily wiggle my toes, BUT, it was too narrow at the ball of my foot and put uncomfortable pressure there. I also have a high instep,l also felt pressure across the top of my foot at the same position. So, top to bottom and side to side, I found them to be too tight just at the ball of my foot. Arch support is very moderate with no heel cup. What I liked: Overall appearance, lightweight, cozy feel, waterproof and insulated to -25*F, fairly flexible and bottom seemed to be good for traction. Plus, the lacing was easy to adjust even tho' I prefer a zip up boot.

My saga with boots is long and troubled. I live in Wisconsin, so I need boots for a decent part of the year. I tried super cheapo boots and they'd fall apart or the soles would split and snow would get in. I tried Sorel Joan of Arctics, but they were stiff, hard to walk in, and left my feet absolutely freezing. But these, man, I feel like Goldilocks. They're warm, flexible, easy to get around in, stable, not slippery, and cute. Finally found my "just right" boot. Hooray!

I bought these boots 2 years ago and they are super comfy and they look good as well. After wearing them for one winter and a little bit during really wet weather the rest of the year I was excited to get them out of the closet for for winter again. About halfway through the season when the snow got real slushy and melty I ended up home with wet feet... After investigating, the wear on one sole had opened up a little area inside that wasn't solid and it acted like a straw sucking the water up into the footbed. The boots are still great for cold weather, but I can't wear them when it's wet anymore... These boots get a lot of positive reviews for a reason and I'm tempted to get another pair for this year and just hope that my old ones were defective rather than it being a design flaw. Even at $80 I feel like I should be getting more than 2 solid seasons of wear out of a pair of boots.

The reviews had me hopeful that these would get me through a Vermont winter but after wearing them once during the seasons first winter storm I was terribly disappointed. My feet were frozen solid after an hour because the boots were soaked through. I don't know if I got a defective pair because these were definitely not waterproof. The fit and comfort were absolute perfection but they did not do the job they were supposed to do. I was very sad to have to return them.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. These were much better looking in person (bought the fawn/beige color) than in the photos. I usually wear a size 10, but purchased these in a 10.5 to account for winter socks. Good call because they fit perfectly. There is plenty of width for the front of the foot yet my heel doesn't slip in the back. I highly recommend them for an everyday winter boot in the Northeast US.

I really love these boots! They accommodate my large calves and wide feet, and are very comfortable. The insole is thick. (And removable, if you want to insert your own orthotic.) I did order up half a size from my usual size. They are also very cute. A win-win!

These are surprisingly comfortable! I live in Hawaii, but I’m traveling to Sapporo for the winter, so this is my first pair of snow-friendly boots. I’ve owned other boots, such as hiking ones and doc martens, and the first thing I was impressed by was the ease of putting on the boot! Both with a standard mid-calf sock and thicker, fluffy sock, there was no struggle with getting my foot snugly into place. The laces tighten nicely, and stay put with me running around my apartment. The bottom is rugged and sturdy, but not hard, so it’s comfortable to walk on. I splashed some water on it too, and it appears to be water resistant. The boot gets warm FAST, but I also live in 80 degree weather, so take that with a grain of salt. There’s only a little bit of arch support, but nothing an insole can’t fix. Overall, I’m very satisfied that my search is over, and that I’ll have nice boots to test in the winter!

These boots are amazing. I wear a size 7 normally and the size 7 in these fit perfectly. They are not too tight nor too big, and if I wear thick socks or add insoles they still fit perfectly. I needed a new pair of boots that would actually do well in all of the winter elements (cold temperatures, snow, slush, sleet, ice, puddles). I have worn these every day for the past 2 or so months and I am SO happy with them! They are confortable to walk in each day during my work commute. It was just recently very snowy and cold in Chicago (-20°F) and my feet were not cold in these at all. I have walked in 5+ inches of unshoveled snow and my feet were never cold or wet. I've stepped in puddles of water, slush, and mud... my feet have never been cold or wet! These boots do pretty well on ice, too. I have slipped a lot less wearing these than previous boots, and have yet to actually fall down (which I usually do every winter). Overall, these boots are amazing and are definitely winter proof in my experience. :)

SIZING: I typically wear a 9 in regular shoes and an 8.5 if I'm buying wide. I got these in a 9W because they website said they ran small and I wanted to be able to wear thicker socks. I'm very happy with the 9W! I think I could have gotten away with the 8.5W but it would have been borderline short. The 9W do not look or feel sloppy. COMFORT: I love how the fabric is flexible around the ankle. I have had issues with boots being too stiff which causes rubbing on my heel. These have a very comfortable foot bed and I can add my arch inserts for extra support. HIGHLY recommend.

I have those problem feet. Wide, flat, bunion, you name it :( I tried many boots on and these felt very warm. They have a nice toe box so my feet didn't feel confined and they are pretty cute too! The fact that they tie helps too. The only think you may want to consider is that if you want to wear a pant OVER the boot...then that may be an issue. However, I was going to wear leggings or ski pants, or skinny jeans to tuck in. Can't say anything about the waterproofing and how they will do in snow since haven't worn them yet.

This was the best purchase I could have made. Walked all over downtown Minneapolis without any problem. Wore them to a football game in nasty weather conditions...feet were nice and toasty! These were worth the purchase. I've purchased a lot of shoes with Zappos and I believe my first review!

Wow! I don't usually get so excited about shoes, but these snow boots were like snow slippers!! I put my orthotics in them, so excellent arch support. I usually take a 7 and took a 7 including orthotics. I was able to wear Icebreaker medium thicks sox with them and was toasty. The most important features of these babies are: LIGHTWEIGHT!!! I wore a pair of Columbia classic heavy snow boots for 20 years. They were good, but the lightweight Ice Maiden II such a welcome difference. I felt I had better footing in the light ones than with heavy ones I had to lift with my legs. NEXT: Looks! Wore them to dinner in snow under wool pants and looked perfectly fine and warm as toast and totally comfortable. Fantastic development in snow boot construction!!

Purchased these boots to go along with a camel colored Columbia coat. Boots are so comfortable and stylish looking with the quilted back side. The boots and the coat look awesome together and are very warm and comfortable.
