I don't know why they recommend 1/2 sizing down - I found these to be true to size. Very comfortable and great style (I am a big fan of John Varvatos footwear). The only comment that I have is that they are a little lighter in color than the photo, but not really an issue.

(What's this?)Fit is good. The shoe is snug but flexible and soft. Really interesting. The sole is comfortable, well padded. It comes with shoelaces but I think they look and fit great without them. No real break-in period- I wore these immediately out of the box and had no problems with them. They look great with jeans or with shorts. All in all, pleased with them in general.

These boots are 100% worth it. They fit great, they are comfortable, and they are stylish AF. I'm so happy I bought these, I get so many compliments and my feet are happy wearing them all day!

(What's this?)Beautiful lightweight shirt. The material is thin and perfect for the summer days.

(What's this?)Really disappointed! I wore them only twice and one of the boot has the seam split apart on the outside. I have been buying John Varvatos Chukka Hipster boots for the last ten years and was never disappointed, but this "Portland boots are not high quality made. There is no arch support and the inside sole looks more like card board. I sent them back.

(What's this?)Poor quality, falling apart within a week. The sole came apart from the heel.

(What's this?)Super soft and thin shirt. Definitely better suited for warmer weather.

(What's this?)Very nice looking. Sole is a soft and probably more comfortable to stand in. But elastic fits loosely around the ankle, not like other chelsea's, causing the heel to slip more and the ankle to not fit in a tapered trouser cuff. Tried 2 pairs but no good. Also, for this price point, I was disappointed to see that they were not fully leather lined. That was a final deal-breaker for me and I sent them back.

(What's this?)I'm in the wrong line of work. What I should be doing is taking cheap, low-quality fabric and producing absurdly overpriced clothing. If you want a quality garment, do not buy this shirt. It is made of thin and flimsy fabric that is practically transparent and holds no shape. The exposed flat seam is OK if you like that look, but otherwise the shirt is utterly styleless.

(What's this?)I'm really happy with this shirt. It's very cool, and casual. Love the peace sign insignia. I'm 6'0"/ 195 and in very reasonable shape. Even in slim fit styles, normally I wear a large, but somewhat typical for JV polos, the shirt fit a little tight through the shoulders and midsection. Ordered an XL and the shirt fits perfectly.

(What's this?)Handsome polo shirt. Soft fabric, lightweight and stylish. I'm about 5'7 height and 140 lbs, and the medium sized shirt fits perfectly. The sleeves sit just right and the length just midway to the zipper on my pants. It has a slim fit and not so baggy, which is my preferred size.

Lightweight cotton and slim cut make this shirt feel tailored. I'm a lean 6', 190lbs and the large fits absolutely perfect, but I wouldn't dry it!
Mark N from Dallas, TX on June 12, 2014
This polo is sharp, sexy, and simple. It is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear in warm weather, yet thick enough that a thin undershirt will help make it perfect for cooler weather. I love how soft it is, too! I have a 39" chest and the medium size fits perfectly! The length falls just below my waist and it looks great with khakis and jeans.

Great polo. The large hangs just right on my 6' 195lb frame. Quite flattering and the color is perfect.
